The Birth of Jesus

The birth of Jesus Christ is a pivotal event in Christian theology, often referred to as the Nativity. According to the Gospel of Luke, Mary, who was betrothed to Joseph and miraculously conceived through the Holy Spirit, traveled with Joseph to Bethlehem due to a Roman census. With no room available at the inn, they settled in a stable where Jesus was born and laid in a manger. This humble beginning fulfills prophecies about the Messiah and symbolizes God’s incarnation as a humble offering of divine love.

The Flight to Egypt - Joseph was warned in a dream to flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus, escaping King Herod’s massacre of Bethlehem’s male infants, highlighting Jesus' early fulfillment of the prophecy and the protective hand of God.
The Return from Egypt - After Herod’s death, an angel told Joseph it was safe to return, but he settled the family in Nazareth instead of Bethlehem, fulfilling the prophecy that the Messiah would be called a Nazarene.
